Κινητικότητα φοιτητών στο πλαίσιο του Προγράμματος ERASMUS+

The ERASMUS+ Programme is a European Union Action Project on transnational lifelong learning initiatives cooperation, which will cover the period 2014-2020. It has replaced the ERASMUS Programme which ended in the academic year 2007-2013. It aims at enhancing exchanges, cooperation and mobility among EU education and training units. Moreover, the programme aims at improving quality and enhancing the European dimension of higher education, by encouraging transnational cooperation of Universities, the increase of European mobility and the promotion of full academic recognition of studies and academic degrees. As a consequence, mobility grants are awarded to thousands of students and teaching staff while at the same time the European dimension of studies is further enhanced so as to also benefit those not directly involved in the exchange process.
Within the framework of the Programme, our Department provides the opportunity on the one hand to its own students to take courses at another EU University and on the other to the students of foreign Universities to study for a respective amount of time at our Department. Our Department is collaborating with a number of Universities in the framework of the Programme on students and teaching staff mobility. Finally, within the framework of the same Programme, it is also in the process of signing new collaboration agreements with top Universities, so as to further enhance our Department’s teaching staff and student mobility.
